Miri – 4 November 2010 – Students of the Department of Media, Culture and Communication of Curtin University, Sarawak Malaysia (Curtin Sarawak) are organising a film screening to premiere their final year corporate digital video productions on 12 November 2010.

The hour-long event is scheduled to start at 4.00 pm in the Lecture Theatre at the School of Business (Heron 2) and will also serve as a handover ceremony for the three videos to the respective clients.

The students of the FTV 334 class have been working in groups of five for the whole semester to produce corporate digital videos for Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Persatuan Ibubapa Kanak-Kanak Istimewa (Pibakis), and the Lu Zhou Youth Centre.

“They are outstanding students who, on their own initiative, have set up a professional working relationship with local businesses and institutions, and their videos are excellent professional examples of corporate digital video production,” said Mass Communication Senior Lecturer David Reid.

Aside from representatives of the three organisations, the screening will be attended by students and staff of Curtin Sarawak’s School of Business, with guests being formally welcomed by Pro Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Professor Ian Kerr.
