(31 August 2015, Monday) A mobile truck exhibition showing how both art and technology move forward together? Definitely one for the road!

The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) have joined forces to express the impressive benefits of Art and Technology through the Innovati50n mobile exhibition.

This exhibition aims to celebrate 50 years of science, technology and innovation in Singapore, as part of Science@50, a year- long campaign launched by A*STAR and several local universities in the beginning of this year. 17 art pieces showcased in this mobile truck exhibition were created by an array of techniques. These pieces were inspired from homegrown innovations selected by a coveted panel of scientific leaders.

In a world where art and technology are often seen as opposing entities, this exhibition has managed to showcase a way the two overlap – through having similar processes of planning and research. Although they differ in execution, they are both derived from a place of passion.
