On the 1st of Oct 2014, the student council of IMPERIA Institute of Technology organized a Malaysia Day Celebration event to commemorate our country’s birth. Although Malaysia Day falls on the 16th of September 2014, the celebration has to be postponed to 1st of Oct 2014, as some students were having exams on that particular week.
The event covered the history the formation of Malaysia. Historical pictures and videos of before and after Malaysia was born, were presented on that day.
After the opening speech given by our dear Principal, Mr. Gan Hock Leong, The event followed by having games like quiz, and charades, organized by the student council member. The students and lecturers were involved in the games and had a great time.
And most importantly, the event includes student recognition and award, namely students got into the dean’s list and president’s list. This reward is for all January 2014 students who have achieved more than 3.5 CGPA. There were a total of 51 students who received this award. Out of 51, 2 of the students got the president’s list which is a full 4.0 CGPA.
The students who obtained these award comes from the courses namely, Foundation in Built Environment, Diploma in Estate Management, Diploma in Quantity Surveying, and LJMU UK Franchised programmes: BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying & Cost management (3+0), BSc (Hons) Real Estate Management & Development (3+0).
