Sanggar Warisan Tari achieved the ‘Bronze Award’ this year

Our one and only dance team – Sanggar Warisan Tari participated in Festival Colours of the World 2016 (FESCO) hosted by Universiti Teknologi Petronas on 15 &16 April 2016.

FESCO provides opportunities for students to showcase their talents in local arts and culture, while appreciating the cultural heritage of the country in promoting the unique culture of Malaysia.

Competing against 8 other private universities with the theme of Medley Traditional Malay dance, Sanggar Warisan Tari opted 2 classical Malay dances which are Inang and Asli. The choreography was led by an experienced choreographer, Cikgu Siti while the team was managed by Department of Student Affairs and Alumni.

With colourful and luxurious traditional costume and magnificent moves, Sanggar Warisan Tari achieved the ‘Bronze Award’ this year.

On top of that, we are proud to announce IUMW is now officially a member of Federation of International Dance Festivals (FIDAF) which serves as a platform for dancers to perform at Cheonan, South Korea representing Malaysia.

DSAA wishes big CONGRATULATIONS to the team!
