SUMMARY:Mind & STEM Festival 2019
DESCRIPTION:Kuching —24 June 2019: Malaysia Mental Literacy Movement (MMLM)\, together with Kuala Lumpur Engineering Science Fair (KLESF)\, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Sin Chew Daily in Kuching Sarawak will be organising the MIND & STEM Festival on 12 and 13 July 2019 at the school hall of Chung Hua Middle School No.1 Kuching\, Sarawak. \nThe two-day festival will feature a variety of fun and interactive contents and activities\, which includes games\, exhibitions\, mental literacy talks and activities related to mental literacy for the public and schools. STEM hands-on exhibitions and STEM-related activities will also be conducted to promote and enhance students’ interest in the five areas which are Physics\, Chemistry\, Biology\, Mathematics and Information Technology. \nFurthermore\, the Chairman of Malaysia Memory Sports Organisation (MMSO) Teo Kim Foo\, the Grandmaster of Memory Wong Wan Jiun and Malaysian Human Calculator West Wong Woon Chieng will be invited to deliver their talks titled “Memory can be enhanced by learning!”\, “How to boost your memory for academic learning”\, and “Unleash your calculation genius” respectively during the event. \nIn collaboration with Kids Station Marketing Sdn Bhd\, MMLM will also be organising STEM Cube Challenge Kuching 2019. The competition is categorised into: age 13 and below; age 14 and above. \nThe Mind & STEM Festival 2019 is open to the public and will be held with free admission.
