Kuala Lumpur, 20 April 2023 – Year 1 students from Bachelor Degree of Public Relations in TARUMT, have organised an interesting educational forum on “Measuring the Importance of ROI in PR Campaign,” which took place on 19 April at TAR UMT Kuala Lumpur branch. This forum was brought together with invited speakers Associate Professor Dr. Hamisah Hasan from Taylor’s University and Mr. Abdul Latiff bin Puteh, founder of White & Associates, cum the President of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Malaysia, in addition, PR lecturers, PR students, and other stakeholders to discuss relevant topics.

PR campaigns are known as an essential component of any organisation’s communication strategy. However, it can be challenging to accurately measure these campaigns’ impact and effectiveness. Therefore, this forum had explore the following topics to guide PR students towards achieving excellence in practising PR years ahead through networking opportunities and Q&A sessions in the forum:

• Definition of PR in the modern world and it roles
• The importance of measuring ROI in PR campaigns
• The strategies and challenges in organising PR campaigns

Background of IPRMSA – TAR UMT
The Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology’s IPRM Student Chapter was launched in 2016. The Institute of Public Relations Malaysia (IPRM) was initiated by a group of public relations practitioners from commerce, industry and government who felt the need for an organisation to represent their rapidly expanding profession and undertake relevant professional programmes and activities. The objectives of IPRM are to promote the interests of public relations practitioners and enhance the practice of public relations in the country.
