The Rookies World School Rankings has released its 12th annual rankings list. Consecutively every year since 2018, The One Academy has received Rookie Awards in several categories. Going up against 4,500 entrants from 500 schools and colleges worldwide this year, The One Academy has risen to the top of the ranks yet again. Landing a well-deserved spot on such a prestigious list just goes to show that The One Academy has not just made its mark in the creative industry locally but on the world stage as well.
The Rookies is regarded as the most respected ranking for educational institutes and is not like other education-based ranking systems. Once the students’ best works are submitted, this data will be analysed in detail to calculate where students are receiving the best education and graduating with the highest rate of employment success. They are driven and judged by industry professionals solely based on the quality and performance of students’ works that are completed at school without the interference of paid advertising.

This year, The One Academy was crowned World’s No. 3 School for Creative Media & Entertainment. This category is awarded to institutions that help aspiring artists learn the skills needed to work in creative industries such as visual effects, animation, games, architectural visualisation, immersive media, motion design, and more. The One Academy was also honoured with the rankings of World’s No. 1 School for Best Production Excellence (Game Design & Development) in the Immersive Media category where it involves students’ team-based projects. The results were calibrated based on a staggering 58,443 portfolios that were reviewed by a team of over 150 highly influential and respected creative industry veterans.
In addition to those esteemed titles, The One Academy also achieved the rankings of World’s Top 2 Best Product Design School, World’s Top 3 Best Concept Art & Illustration School, World’s Top 8 Best 2D Animation School, World’s Top 6 Best Motion Graphics School, and World’s Top 20 Best 3D Animation School. The One Academy is the only college from Malaysia to earn a place in the rankings, bringing pride and recognition to our country.
