Make Way for The Winners of The ESMOD KL Graduation Fashion Show 2022!

The ESMOD Kuala Lumpur Fashion Show returned with a new batch of graduates who took the stage in a stellar fashion show to showcase their masterpieces. The event, which took place on 26th March (Saturday) at Level 3, Shoppes, Four Seasons Place, Kuala Lumpur, saw to numerous amazing outfits designed and created by the young fashion designers themselves.

Graduating batch FD1903 comprised of 30 talented designers who exhibited incredible designs surrounding the theme “Eclectitsch”. Made up of the words ‘eclectic’ and ‘kitsch’ put together, the term represents an array of diverse themes which come together to form a very eclectic, slightly kitsch setting.

The fashion designers presented their collections which were split into four categories of looks: Nouvelle Couture, Womenswear RTW (Luxury), Womenswear RTW and Menswear RTW.

Attendees left the venue in awe of the striking, inspired pieces produced by the budding fashion designers.

Following the fashion show, the ESMOD Jury Week had recently took place where a jury panel consisting of esteemed experts were invited to evaluate and score the students’ collections, listening to the rationalization behind their collections and providing advice as well as pointers on how they can be improved.

This time round, the designers’ collections were appraised by a panel of judges made up of several notable names in the industry such as fashion designers Dato’ Sri Bernard Chandran, Mr. Bon Zainal, Mr. Daniel Beltsos, Mr. Daniel Lau and Mr. Ong Chin Huat. Each of the graduating fashion designer was competing for the award of ‘Best Fashion Design’ and ‘Best Pattern Making’.

This year, the ‘Best Fashion Design’ award was won by Chow Eugene for his collection “The Back of Beyond” which tells the life of an introvert who enjoys solitude; while the ‘Best Pattern Making’ award went to Ryan Lee for his collection titled “An Antonian Affair”, which is about ancient Roman life with a touch of disease.

It is indeed exciting to see yet another batch of creatives from ESMOD KL enter the world of fashion to pursue their passion and dreams.
