The construction of the Hospital will cost RM330million and UTAR seeks the support of the community to participate in our fundraising efforts.” He added, “We are very grateful to Ajiya Berhad for their donation of RM1.5million towards the development of UTAR Hospital. Echoing Tan Sri Sak’s sentiment, Dato’ Chan in his speech said, “UTAR’s guiding principle in running the university/hospital has always been what I yearn for, and running a university and hospital is not an easy task. As a businessman, I uphold the concept of ‘taking from the society and giving back to the community’. So I make this humble contribution to this kind of effort which will benefit the society. However, the future operation of the hospital still requires the continuous support of the public. Now, Ajiya Group has taken a step forward, and hopes that this donation will serve as a good starting point to attract more enterprises to support and contribute to UTAR Hospital.”
