SIM officially opened its HQ Annex Building in a ceremony officiated by Singapore President Tony Tan Keng Yam on 16 Mar 12. The six-storey SIM HQ Annex Building was completed in 2011, providing more facilities for SIM students to enjoy.

Phase Two of the Campus Development Master Plan was also unveiled during the ceremony. The new additions to the SIM campus will comprise a 4-storey performing arts complex, a 7-storey and 9-storey blocks. Facilities will include a performing arts theatre, a sports hall, rooftop tennis courts, seminar rooms and laboratories. The 33,500 square-metre expansion is expected to be completed by 2014.

Commenting on the new developments, President Tony Tan said, “The growth of the SIM Campus bears testimony to the institution’s success in meeting Singapore’s growing demand for professionals, managers and executives.”

Phases 1 and 2 together requires an investment of over S$300 million, it is the biggest ever commitment by SIM. This shows SIM’s determination and confidence to sustain its leadership position in Singapore’s private education.
